Just would like to say a big thank you to Sophie who helped us organise our big day. Everything went so smoothly and all our expectations were met. Anything we wanted to add or change wasn't a problem. Our guests said the food was amazing and after leaving a detailed review after our menu tasting, all was corrected. One of our guests mentioned a dietary issue on the day and everything was taken into consideration without hesitation and didn't have a long wait for food either. From the first day booking with the Talbot everything ran as smooth as possible. No matter the specific or non-conventional request the more help they gave. They went out of their way to contact all suppliers during the week of the wedding to make sure there was no final minute hiccups. From the first minute working with Sophie she was very professional and helpful, helping us with any questions we asked or needed to know. The day itself ran like clockwork with massive support from Michael and Aoife. Special thanks to Aoife who was brilliant with our 3 year old along with also having the task of organizing another 3 and 5 year old up the aisle to great success. Michael made sure that everything went as planned on the day especially during dinner service and afterwards where he was spot on with everything from the speeches, mother gifts and helping us wish our 3 year old a happy birthday with his own birthday cake on the day. Big thanks to Alison too who took over from Aoife after the ceremony. She did a great job and helped us to take time for ourselves and got us to stay as calm as she was no matter the request. From start to finish the Talbot was beautifully decorated and the whole day went along smoothly without any problems thanks to the brilliant staff. We would highly recommend the Talbot Hotel Cork as a wedding venue. We held our civil ceremony and reception there, and it could not have been better. Tanusha and her events team looked after our every need and made sure the day ran smoothly. From the first time we met Tanusha, over a year before our wedding, we knew that we were in safe hands. Everything was so well organised that we did not have to worry about a thing and could relax and enjoy the day with our guests. The food was excellent, the waiters and waitresses were so professional and friendly, and the banqueting suite looked absolutely perfect. We booked the bridal suite for the night before the wedding, and it was a brilliant space for the bridal party to get ready on the morning. It was also a lovely location for photographs. The weather was horrendous on the day of our wedding, but there were plenty of areas within the hotel to take amazing photographs, so that even the storm could not spoil this part of our day. We are so glad that we chose the Talbot for our wedding venue. We had an amazing day, a real celebration with family and friends. Thank you, Tanusha and all the team!

To start our wedding planning was made so special and easy-going with the help of the Talbot Hotel Cork. Tanusha was on top of everything. Anytime I needed advice or help, she was right there with a smile. The day itself was like a dream. Michael and Tanusha made sure it was all running perfectly and made sure no stress came our way. Throughout the planning and organising of our wedding, Tanusha could not have been more helpful to us. Choosing the Oriel/Talbot was an easy decision for me and Aidan. We had attended a wedding here previously and were very impressed with everything. Tanusha, the wedding coordinator, was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. Her enthusiasm and love for her job were evident from every interaction, whether it was by phone, email or onsite visit. Her bubbly personality and infectious laugh made it feel like you were chatting with a friend and took the stress out of the wedding planning. When the big day came, everything was seamless, Tanusha and the team gently guided us through the day and directed us on the next steps as the day unfolded. Compliments to the chef, also on the amazing food that was served throughout the day. We had heard so much positive feedback even prior to the wedding about the food in the hotel, and it did not disappoint. The menu tasting was a nice touch to give us a chance to taste our chosen menu prior to the big day. I would like to start by saying we had the most relaxed day due to the time and effort put in by Tanusha. There was nothing that was refused, and Tanusha also took what we said and improved it in every possible way. We started the night before in the Bridal Suite, and the madness started very early in the morning with breakfast delivered, and the choices did not leave anything out. Tanusha popped in to make sure we were all on track. As she had all the notes taken, she knew when everyone was arriving. She also kept me on track with the transport arriving at 11 am. On arrival back after the legal bit was complete, Tanusha was ready with two glasses of bubbly and let us know when everything was ready for us to come in after the Photos. The meal was as we remembered at the tasting and even better, as the place seemed to go silent when the main was served. There were loads of empty plates throughout. The mushroom vol-au-vent was amazing, and my favourite part of the meal. I have not had better anywhere else. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and the sauce is still being mentioned as it was so light yet flavourful. The evening food was perfectly timed, and there was plenty to go around. The chicken kebabs were succulent and tasty, the spring rolls were perfectly crispy, and the mini fish and chips were a perfect treat for the kids. The staff were excellent, they kept the glasses full and made sure we were all happy with the meal. The night manager, Rory (I hope I have his name right), was very good at keeping us on track and made sure we were taken care of. A special mention was made for Anne, the Reservations Manager, who made sure all the guests were in the best rooms for their needs. My father does not have great mobility, and she made sure he was close to the function room. Tanusha was very good at making sure all the preparations were spot on. The menus were perfect, as my mother has passed, she made sure her favourite flower was included in the design. I would highly recommend

Our wedding day flew by. Everyone tells you that, and they’re right. We had a fantastic day, and it really was one of those lifetime moments to always look back on. The hotel was brilliant all weekend and couldn’t have been more helpful, ensuring everything went as planned. Planning the wedding was a breeze, not what everyone tells you, but it was. We hadn’t a clue from an organising perspective what to do, but the wedding organiser, Tanusha walked us through everything and almost gave us tasks for each meet up on what needed to be done and by when. She certainly kept the pressure off us. This hotel is definitely worth a look. It really was a fantastic day.

When we first walked into The Talbot Hotel, we knew it it would be our location for our wedding day. We had both a ceremony and a reception in the hotel. The work that went into organising it was unreal, from transforming it from the ceremony to 3 hours later sitting in the same room for our dinner. We dealt with Tanusha, she was amazing from start to finish. she would have a normal conversation to get to know each other but at the same time work so hard on your wedding the detail that she put in was unbelievable no job was to big for her, her energy was so calming throughout the whole planning of our day. And for that we are so grateful. food on the day was outstanding we couldn't fault a bit of it. Myself and my husband would highly recommend having your wedding at The Talbot Hotel.

We had our lovely wedding last March at the Talbot Hotel Cork (Oriel House). Tanusia, the best wedding coordinator, helped us have a wonderful wedding that suited our plans. She had loads of bright ideas that you would want. You won't worry about the budget because they will give you the best possible options that meet your needs. And the venue (suites)—it's a big WOW! Tanusha and the team made our wedding so easy for us to plan. From our first meeting, they made wonderful suggestions regarding the layout of the rooms, recommending suppliers, and had no problem with our unusual requests. They offered a wonderful selection of wedding packages. Our wedding ceremony and reception were in the hotel and it flowed so effortlessly thanks to the expertise of the hotel staff. The hotels decoration was magical, very spiritual which was just as we wanted it. Three months on and our guests are still raving about the way it was all laid out, how great the food was and how comfortable the guest rooms were. We would definitely recommend the hotel for weddings.

Where to start? All I can say is amazing. Tanusha the wedding Co-ordinator is just truly amazing and we could not have asked for better support than her. Everything went perfectly for us on our wedding day, we had a great connection with Tanusha it was almost like we had been friends for years. Micheal the bar and beverage manager was also top-class and great at what he does we had the craic and communication was flawless. The food was amazing hats off to the head chef he was so accommodating with us and catered to each dietary need as we had a good few tricky ones, to say the least however, he delivered not one guest gave anything but praise for the food. All I can say is I wish we could do it all over again and for any Bride and Groom out there considering the Oriel do not hesitate as you will not be disappointed. Thanks to all the other Staff in the hotel you were all exceptional!

Words can’t describe how helpful and supportive Tanusha has been to Paudie & me. From the moment I met Tanusha, she matched my vision and brought high energy. I had endless chats with Tanasha and she went above and beyond for us and we are forever thankful. Tanusha was a big part of our wedding day. The Oriel House Hotel (now the Talbot Hotel Cork) was a beautiful place to celebrate our big day and the feedback we have received from family and friends has been all positive. To say that Oriel House was an amazing wedding venue would be an understatement. They gave us the best day of our lives. We were so happy with how everything went, it was faultless. The food and service was superb! The honeymoon suite was out of this world. The ceremony room and drinks reception in the restaurant were beautiful. The table settings were unreal. The atmosphere and the vibe in the hotel just made us feel so at ease.
